Project Example 1: Baltic Sea, Offshore Germany
Helped a medium-sized company with too many blocks to handle: analyzed the prospectivity of and created new play concepts and drillable prospects in the Southern Permian Basin, the German-Polish Caledonides, and the Baltic shelf (clastic rocks and carbonates). The work created a sound understanding of previous well failures and a much refined knowledge of the local petroleum systems including trap geometries. It raised the value of a particular block and adjacent areas significantly.
Example 2: Essaouira Basin, Morocco
Helped establish the technical foundation to build a start-up company on: performed a total geological evaluation of and investigated new play concepts in the inverted, multiply deformed Essaouira Atlantic rift basin of Morocco. The work resulted in the attraction of $30 MM investment capital and two gas wells drilled in a rock volume traditionally believed to be non-prospective.
Example 3: Nyalga Basin, Mongolia
Grassroots project for a medium-sized company: conducted frontier exploration and analyzed the prospectivity in the inverted transtensional Nyalga rift basin of Mongolia. Work resulted in two oil wells drilled.
